Chamois from the Carpathian Mountains in Romania

Four hunters have just returned from the Carpathian Mountains, where they experienced the unique mountain hunt for agile chamois. Our partner has access to some of the areas in Romania with the densest chamois populations. They saw this firsthand, and some truly impressive chamois were shot.

The chamois hunt begins with an ascent at sunrise. It’s a physically demanding hunt, but the pace is always adjusted to suit each hunter’s ability. Naturally, there are many breaks to scan the mountainsides.
